Combining Acupuncture and Craniosacral Therapy for Optimal Healing
with Penny Brewer
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy (about the weight of a nickel) that releases restrictions in the fascia/connective tissue, improving the function of the central nervous system.
Acupuncture needles are used to release blockages in the meridian system, reduce pain, increase blood flow and support the body’s innate healing ability.
I combine acupuncture points, typically away from the area of complaint, and work hands-on the areas of restriction/blocks using craniosacral therapy.
I’ve found this combination to be one of the most effective ways to get into a deep parasympathetic nervous system state and allow for releasing blockages and restrictions in the tissue as well as stored energy and emotions.
Clients often report a floating sensation/meditative state, feeling deeply relaxed and reduction of pain.
